The Role
The API Delivery Manager will act as a leader within the Central API team and will manage dependencies across enterprise workstreams, track all work, and to support key functions to drive delivery. The Delivery Manager will serve as the integration point between the Central API delivery team and any consuming internal or 3rd party consumer to ensure successful delivery of API solutions.
How you'll contribute
Provide deep technology thought leadership and expertise regarding API development/ownership/maintenance/ financial and total Cost of ownership ensure delivery of effective technology solutions to drive business outcomes.
Manage technology requests (demands) from inception to completion including gathering requirements from multiple sources, coordinating development activities to ensure deadlines are met and high-quality is maintained.\
Create a clear, coherent approach and framework to guide effective program/initiative setup, execution, and control.
Serve as a technical resource to the team, utilizing available resources and ability to handle both standard and non-standard situations.
Perform analysis and documentation of business and technology processes.
Develop deployment deliverables (communications, training, etc..) and help to resolve issues and mitigate risks, escalating issues where appropriate to leadership
Collects data tied to project deliverables and collating into comprehensive presentations for executive leadership team.
Establish and track appropriate agile metrics for the API program (i. e. capacity, velocity, burndown charts)
What we're looking for
Bachelors degree graduate
8+ years of work in a technology organization or equivalent work experience and has strong knowledge/experience in technical program management including planning, estimating, dependency mapping, and status reporting
Able to identify and secure resources and support from senior leaders across the company Intellectual curiosity, data/fact driven, and ability to connect dots across the enterprise
Strong technical background in digital technologies with an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the software development life cycle
Experience working in Agile methodologies - Scrum, Kanban, Lean User Experience (UX), XP is desirable but not essential NodeJS, JBoss, Spring Boot, etc.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
