Responsibilities:
Facilitates IP Core Systems capacity planning, design, expansion and implementation to meet the Internet and Video business requirements of SKY.
Conducts feasibility studies and recommends systems, timelines, equipment and cost requirements.
Conducts research, evaluates, tests and deploys all network hardware upgrades to the IP core infrastructure
Performs installation, updates and upgrades, patching, tuning and troubleshooting of Linux operating system.
Administers services with secure links, anti-virus, user authentication and intrusion detection
Provides monitoring of event logs for security incidents and violations related to information technology; identify and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance issues and automate systems administration tasks
Document Systems related policies and procedures including security
Performs other duties as required in order to achieve Department goals and objectives
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a Bachelor's degree in holder in IT or Engineering. Preferably with professional level industry certification.
Must have at least 3 years technical work experience in data center and cloud environment.
Preferably with Tier-2 level expertise in any LINUX distribution administration, with Telco/ISP SECURITY support experience, with PROGRAMMING and SCRIPTING experience and DATABASE administration experience.
Has experience deploying and setting up servers, networks, firewalls, switches, wireless, security systems, security and network monitoring tools.
With advance knowledge in IP Systems Design Concepts and Principles
With valid driver's license.
