INVENTORY COST SUPERVISOR
 
Brief Description and Purpose of the Position
 
As an Inventory Cost Supervisor, this role involves overseeing and managing inventory costing processes, encompassing maintenance of inventory master data, cost accounting systems, and ensuring accurate costing and valuation. This multifaceted role involves responsibilities such as cost analysis, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather cost-related information and drive business results through process improvements, ultimately ensuring seamless inventory cost management and continuous improvement within the organization.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains and creates inventory master data in all BUs.
Maintains cost accounting system, documents and records. Ensures accurate costing and valuation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather cost-related information and provide landed costs reports. Ensures all costs are properly identified and recorded.
Checks, verifies & updates all material components, per unit prices, to ensure that overall material cost per job order is properly captured in the system.
Analyze cost changes and provide cost analysis of components that triggered cost variances.
Prepares and submits monthly cost of goods sold report to Accounting Manager - Inventory Management.
Support development or enhancement of systems and processes to ensure costing requirements are met and to improve costing performance.
Qualification Standards
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field
Experience: At least three to five years experience
Others:
Familiarity with ERP System (SAP, MS Dynamics)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications
