Job Summary:
The inventory controller handles tasks that are related to inventory in a warehouse setting for the company. His/Her role includes maintaining inventory levels, making monthly inventory reports, recording and labeling inventory items to be used in the future, and maintaining accurate records at any given point in time.
The position requires constant communication with concerned departments to make sure items are replenished and maintain proper levels. He/she may also need to perform some physical tasks, such as moving items during the cycle count. Overall, he oversees the flow of inventory in and out of the warehouse, which covers a variety of tasks, such as ordering, delivery, loading, shipment, maintenance, and storage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains and manages the inventory of materials and stocked products, which include stock locations and profiles. Using RPRO as the main inventory system, he/she accounts for receipts of new items, returns, back-orders, and associated issues, and inputs essential data, while adhering to strict accounting and auditing procedures.
Conducts periodic inventory stock counting and accuracy checks and processes and investigates discrepancies and shortages to avoid stockouts and minimize overstocks and remove redundant and obsolete raw materials.
Ensures that the delivered goods and stocks are properly controlled and organized for sufficient fulfillment support and for the achievement of e-commerce sales goals
Ensures products are received and managed according to the company's standard procedure, so materials will be readily available for fulfillment or whenever needed
Organizes and maintains the inventory floor area to ensure efficient material storage and handling. He/She also maintains labeling systems on the stock items.
Makes sure that any late materials or those that hold up fulfillment for a certain reason are followed up until they are received.
Provides routine management data regarding inventory performance, which involves evaluating and monitoring usage of materials, consumables, and others.
Creates and maintains accurate written procedures for the primary inventory control functions and processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the stock management system implemented.
Implement improvement systems and processes to reduce inventory setbacks, while minimizing costs.
Creates daily reports to control the key critical areas of the stock system and immediately address any discrepancies. This task involves managing control measures to make sure inaccuracies and errors are highlighted and resolved within 24 hours.
Qualifications and Other Preferred Skills:
College Graduate, preferably of Accounting or any Business Management course
At least 3+ years of work experience in a similar capacity
Advanced knowledge in any Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Inventory Management System (IMS) is highly preferred
Numerical and analytical skills are required
Expertise in MS Excel formulas and functions is an advantage.
Knowledge in Retail PRO (RPRO) is an Advantage.
