INVENTORY AND FIXED ASSET STAFF
 
Job Description
Prepare receiving reports after confirming that goods received are in accordance with quality and quantity specifications, and ensuring that purchase orders and invoices are matched. 
Ensures that all goods received during the month are entered into the system before the month ends.
Monitors store room inventory and replenishes them once inventory level reaches the reorder level.
Maintains a stock card for any movement in the store room.
Responsible for ensuring the upkeep of the store rooms.
Responsible for making sure that there are no stock outs for inventory with stocking.
Analyzes purchase transactions and recommends a workable par stocking level.
Conducts month-end inventory across all departments and inputs the result of the inventory into the system.
Ensures that the system integrity is maintained at all times by checking for duplicate item names, incorrect store and purchase units, and reporting these for correction as necessary.
Develop purchasing strategies and identify buying trends to keep the business profitable.
Conduct self-guided research to become familiar with what products are available as well as their costs and benefits.
Search available products to find the best combination of quality, price, and delivery.
Negotiate policies and contracts with various suppliers.
Manage deliveries to confirm compliance with contracts.
Monitor stock levels and verify purchase requisitions.
Identify damaged or defective goods and work out an alternative solution with the supplier.
Keep detailed records and prepare and submit necessary reports.
Maintain professional relationships with all key suppliers.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
