Job Location: Cebu City (Work-from-Home Set-Up with 5 days in a month RTO)
 
Applus is looking for an International Record to Report (RtR) Team Lead to be responsible of the activities of the Accounting department, covering multiple countries and different time zones. The position will work closely with the Order to Cash (OtC) and Purchase to Pay (PtP) teams to ensure the integrity of the financial statements.
 
As a Record to Report Team Lead and reporting to the Finance Shared Services (FSS) Service Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for:
Coordinating and Supervising the RTR team on the performance and delivery of the General Accounting activities such as; GL accounting, Bank Reconciliation, Month End Closing and Reporting activities, Intercompany, GL Reconciliation, Supporting internal and external audit, Process documentation, and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Ensuring that both, Corporate and local accounting standards are met and procedures are followed.
Ensuring the accomplishment of the internal procedures and identifying gaps within the processes.
Propose improvements to optimize and automate processes and calculations.
Ensuring resources are properly trained on processes, policies, and systems.
Ensuring the accomplishment of the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) previously defined and approved.
Ensuring fluent communication with the internal customers, mainly with the country finance teams as well as OTC and PTP teams.
Ensuring the accomplishment of the Month End Closing deadlines and procedures.
Providing reliable information to all stakeholders (country finance team, FSS Delivery Lead and to Corporate Finance department)
Promoting continuous improvement culture in the Record to Report processes focused on effectiveness, efficiency, and quality.
Collaborate with establishing internal controls and monitoring compliance with Global Policies.
Supporting and promoting systems improvements, especially is SAP.
Leading and motivating the team
Ensuring that all the critical activities performed by the team are adequately covered under the business continuity plan
Analysing root cause for lapses in timeliness and accuracy in the regular processing and reporting activities and taking necessary corrective and preventive action
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's/College Degree on Finance/Accountancy/Banking or its equivalent.
Good knowledge of accounting processes and internal control
Strong Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
Good command in English
MS Office Proficient (Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint)
Experience:
About 3-5 years of professional experience, with proven experience in accounting functions, preferably in Multinational Businesses.
1-2 years team management experience performing a leadership role
Demonstrated application of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with intercompany accounts and multiple company books is a plus
Preferably with cost accounting and reporting background
SAP FI experience is a must
Experience with Shared Services and/or Outsourced Service Delivery Models is a plus
