Job Qualifications:
Degree in Internal Auditing, Financial Accounting or Financial Management
Two years of work experience in an internal audit environment.
Two years of Fraud Auditing experience.
Accreditation with the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Exceptional accounting skills.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort extravagance, fraud, or non- compliance with laws, regulation and management policies.
Report to management about asset utilization and audit results; recommend changes in operations and financial activities. Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, income and expenditures.
Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness and use of accepted accounting procedures to records transactions.
Examine and evaluate financial information system.
Prepare, analyze and verify annual reports, financial statements, other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.
Examine inventory to verify journal and ledger entries.
Conduct pre- implementation audits to determine if systems and programs under development will work as planned.
Evaluate taxpayer finances to determine tax liability, using knowledge of interest.
Audit payroll and personnel records to determine unemployment, workers compensation coverage, liabilities and compliance with tax laws.
