Job Summary
This position will provide accounting and administrative support to our internal accounting department and directly with our clients. It is a great opportunity for someone with diversified accounting background and related work experience in more than 4 years.
This position requires the ability to work independently within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Willing to adapt new accounting program Odoo. Be a quick learner.
Extensive AR and AP experience and ability to make sound judgements based on thorough knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. CPA designation is preferred.
Key skill sets/experience required: solid knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise application; job/project costing; AR/AP processing/reconciliations
Preferred skill sets/experience: Odoo application; inter-company reconciliations; working in a small team/company
Job Responsibilities
-Set up new vendors and maintain vendor information, request W-9 and review forms for accuracy and proper coding.
-Own year-end reporting for 1099s.
-Follow up with staff from other departments for vendor invoice approval, business units and project charge codes.
-Post vendor invoices into accounting system daily and timely while ensuring invoices are coded to the correct GL accounts, job/project codes and business units.
-Identify and resolve discrepancies between TZ purchase orders and vendor invoices.
-Reconcile vendor statements with vendor ledgers.
-Communicate with vendors to resolve account discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries.
-Process new customer registration application and set up customer web portal.
-Identify and resolve discrepancies between TZ quotes, customer purchase orders.
-Maintain and update customer database, ensuring information is current and accurate.
-Customer invoicing and collections calls.
-Reconcile AR accounts.
-Actively monitor customer accounts, identifying irregularities and working to reduce past due accounts.
-Process bank deposits.
-Review and process employee expense reports, i.e. collecting and validating receipts and have all approvals needed.
-Assist in the preparation of review and annual audit.
-Calculate commissions for review.
-Assist in payroll processing
-Ad Hoc reports requested by management team.
-HR and administrative related tasks under the direction of Controller.
-Other duties assigned.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
-Minimum 4+ years of working experience in US accounting.
-Strong knowledge of advanced US accounting/financial principles and practices
-Demonstrated experience job costing
-Exemplarily English communication skills both oral and written
-Strong knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise software
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant field
-Strong research, problem solving and well-development interpersonal skills
-Demonstrable experience of the job responsibilities
Desired Requirements
-6+ years of working experience in US accounting.
-Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant
-Experience working as in internal accountant for a publicly listed company
