Job Overview:This role offers the chance to acquire hands-on experience in diverse facets of Information Technology within our organization. The internship aims to immerse participants in authentic IT challenges and projects, enabling the practical application of their academic knowledge in a professional context. The position is onsite at our One Ayala Office in Makati. Reporting to our Engineering Manager, the IT Academy Intern is expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am/9:00 pm to 6:00 am MNL time. Responsibilities:App Engineering:
Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
Work on implementing new features under the guidance of senior developers.
Help identify and fix bugs in existing applications.
Maintain technical documentation for developed applications and features.
Quality Assurance (QA):
Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications to identify defects.
Develop and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
Document and report bugs and issues found during testing.
Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Assist in improving QA processes and methodologies.
Research & Development (R&D):
Assist in research activities, including literature reviews and data collection.
Help in developing prototypes and proof-of-concept applications.
Conduct data analysis to support R&D projects.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas for new projects.
Document research findings, methodologies, and project progress.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
Strong academic performance, with a focus on relevant coursework.
Basic understanding of IT concepts, including hardware, software, and networking.
Exposure to programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or Node.js is a plus.
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues.
Eagerness to learn and apply problem-solving skills in a real-world IT environment.
