Primary Responsibilities:
Understanding the insurance policy coverage of the corporation, and related business units, and the terms thereof.
Managing claims by ensuring timely compliance and submission.
Updating the claim register and safekeeping of all claim-related documents and files.
Liaising with the different departments and relevant counterparties for all incident/accident reporting.
Preparing for and assisting in the handling of policy renewals, updates or extensions by, among others, consolidating required data and liaising with the different counterparties such as aircraft lessors, lenders, corporate insurance brokers, insurers, reinsurers and internal departments for this purpose.
Analyzing renewal terms and conditions including impact to the organization
Providing input on insurance provisions in contracts and related insurance matters.
Providing administrative support on insurance matters to the Vice President and Director of Legal Affairs.
Such other insurance-related tasks as may be assigned by immediate superior and Legal heads from time to time.
Basic Qualifications
College graduate, preferably with a degree in finance, economics, business or legal management required.
Leadership training and project management training preferred
At least two (2) years work experience in the insurance industry with exposure in major claims management.
Firm understanding and knowledge of insurance policy terms and jargon.
