Position Purpose:
The Operations Manager, Insurance Subrogation will be responsible for the overall facilitation of program key performance indicators, including recovery goals, quality, staffing levels, attrition, attendance and profitability. The Operations Manager will directly manage a team of Subrogation Team Managers, and be responsible for meeting the organizational and revenue goals of the Insurance Subrogation business, including Auto Insurance, Arbitration and Property lines of service, with accountability in said goal attainment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Collect, analyze and present appropriate program data from the perspective of improving recovery performance and quality on program (s) responsible for, primarily insurance, property and arbitration files. Analyze daily, weekly and monthly reports to current status and recommend future resource planning. Provide data and be an active participant in client-operations review and meet all appropriate deadlines, as specified.
Ensure consistent & effective daily operations management by managing resources and capitalizing on opportunities to increase revenue, reduce costs and improve the quality of our work product.
Be the Product Owner for all Insurance Subrogation lines of service including Auto Insurance, Arbitration and Property. The Product Owner will work directly with IT with the enabling of various technologies geared towards product enhancements and/or new product development.
Create and maintain a solid client interface with open lines of communication to ensure the highest levels of customer service.
Accountable for effectively managing project teams and department spending while maximizing recovery goal attainment. Assist in the adherence, planning and analysis of the respective program's operational budget with a focus on the return on investment associated with treatment expenses as well as collector productivity.
Coordinate communication of policies and procedures, project objectives, and training between corporate, staff, and client. Document and assist in the implementation of department policies and procedures.
Facilitate leadership development initiatives by effectively motivating, empowering and providing immediate feedback to staff. Responsible for program hiring decisions, termination requests, time authorizations, the development and presentation of performance appraisals, and professional development and coaching of subordinates. Ensure staff performance issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner. Communicate potential performance issues and provide solutions to Operations Director.

Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills):
Bachelor's degree preferred and 5+ years of relevant insurance subrogation claims experience including carrier to carrier, property and arbitration claims
Proven management / leadership experience preferred.
Intimate knowledge of insurance subrogation processes with the motivational skills to effectively drive performance.
Proven budgetary and P&L experience.
Possess strong organizational and planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with shifting priorities.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
