Job Purpose
Generate revenues by acquiring and servicing institutional client accounts who wish to purchase or sell equities listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) or other financial instruments distributed by the corporation.
Major Responsibilities
Supports the Sales Department Head in strategy formulation and execution
Ensure regular call outs to clients to ensure high-level engagement and presence
Increase sales by expanding the company's institutional client base and managing current business relationships with institutional clients through road shows and events staged by FMSBC and its partners
Participate actively in business-related associations and organizations in order to foster goodwill, generate top of mind awareness, create/re-enforce relationships and to remain updated on industry developments and initiatives.
Keeps abreast of current events, including political, economic and listed company developments that may have an impact on the investment opportunities and risks of institutional clients. This is done through personal readings and through constant coordination with other units in the Sales and Equity Research Division, Management, FMIC
Investment Banking Group and FMIC Financial Markets Group as well as market practitioners.
Closely monitor industry trends, assessing and recommending strategies to leverage on or address developing opportunities and threats that may impact the business.
Prepare and send out sales notes on relevant market and corporate developments
Respond to customer requests and complaints in a timely manner.
Education: College graduate of a four-year business course preferably in economics, financial management, accounting, commerce or any financial related course. Master's degree, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Securities Trader (CSR) is an advantage.
Experience: 3-5 years extensive experience in institutional equity sales or equity research. Current business relationships with local and foreign fund managers.
Knowledge: Capital markets, i.e., debt and equity market (local and global), economics and politics.
• Skills: Proficient in financial analysis, economics and quantitative analysis. Good evaluative/inferential reasoning,
Personality: Must have a strong sales-oriented personality, strong empathy, organizational sensitivity, adaptable, dependable, a team-player, tactful, assertive, achievement oriented.
