This is a remote position.
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of distressed businesses, reviewing financial statements, cash flows, and other relevant data to assess solvency and financial viability.
Collaborate with clients, creditors, and other stakeholders to develop and implement appropriate insolvency strategies and restructuring plans.
Manage all aspects of insolvency administration, including conducting investigations, collecting and verifying financial information, and identifying potential fraudulent activities.
Prepare and file necessary legal documents and reports required by regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation such as the Corporations Act and the Bankruptcy Act.
Coordinate client administration and finance activities, including onboarding, implementation, and maintaining client files and implementation plans.
Obtain financial information from clients and their accountants, collating client financial information for analysis and reporting purposes.
Project management with external stakeholders and third-party providers, ensuring effective coordination and communication throughout the insolvency process.
Assist in the preparation of reports, including statutory reports, creditors' reports, and other relevant documentation to provide updates on the progress of insolvency cases.
Communicate with clients, creditors, and stakeholders to provide regular updates, answer queries, and address concerns throughout the insolvency process.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as receivers, liquidators, and government agencies, to ensure smooth coordination and compliance during insolvency procedures.
Analyze, understand, and manage high-level data effectively, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Comprehend and learn technical concepts relevant to insolvency and client administration.
Coordinate with high-level stakeholders, such as lawyers, company directors, and government bodies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Utilize high-level communication skills to manage correspondence both written and verbal, collecting timely information clearly and directly through video, email, and phone interactions.
Stay updated with changes in insolvency legislation, industry best practices, and accounting standards applicable to the Australian market, ensuring compliance and effective management of insolvency cases.
Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and documentation related to each insolvency case and client administration, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or CA are highly desirable.
At least 2 years experience in insolvency accounting and client administration, preferably in the Australian market.
Strong knowledge of Australian insolvency legislation, including the Corporations Act and the Bankruptcy Act.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess financial data, provide sound recommendations, and manage high-level data effectively.
Proficient in financial analysis tools and software, as well as accounting software systems.
Familiarity with legal proceedings and court processes related to insolvency cases.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively and build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and professionals in the field.
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple insolvency cases and client administration tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of work.
