The Role
We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Sales and Marketing team. As a dynamic and tech-driven startup, curiosity and ingenuity are two of the main traits that we love about our applicants!
Our clients include major Owners/Operators, Main Contractors and Subcontractors, with project values between £1m and £1B+ UK and Europe-wide.
In this role, you will:
Use your construction industry knowledge to help us identify target growth areas and develop our business plans
Conduct client and market prospecting, to identify and build a portfolio of prospects
Be able to track and report information collected during discussions with potential clients, while trailing new business opportunities on CRM
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of sales techniques and strategy by providing ongoing feedback
Have experience building strong brands using data and available technology, with an appetite for making significant business impact
Work with our team to develop new ideas around our service offerings
Be an excellent networker, someone who quickly builds relationships and can act as another one of our amazing, energetic ambassadors.
As far as skills required for this role, an ideal candidate would have:
A good knowledge of the construction industry and construction markets. (Required)
Excellent communication skills, calmly and confidently engaging with sales prospects and gather requirements to be fed back to the team. (Required)
Amazing market research skills, performing deep-dive analyses on specific market segments that will help shape our sales and expansion strategies. (Required)
Have a keen eye for detail, taking the lead in writing client proposals and sales-related content. (Desirable)
3+ years of work experience, preferably in a sales or BD-focused role. (Desirable)
