We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for design, implementation, and operational support of the technical infrastructure for strategic Broadridge applications and services. Responsibilities: Support services before they launch through activities such as system design, deployment automation, capacity planning and launch reviews Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health Scale systems through mechanisms like automation Implement Infrastructure as code, pipeline as code and monitoring as code. Evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve Infrastructure as code, pipeline as code, supervising as code and velocity Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets Provides technical support to production, maintenance management and technical personnel Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions Required: 3+ years of demonstrated ability using general automation and orchestration platforms of Infrastructure automation (e.g., Jenkins, Chef, BMC) 2+ years of experience in a role supporting virtual and/or cloud-based solutions Able to work as part of a shift in a 24x7x365 operations team. Must be willing to work non-standard work shift as needed (primary shift is daytime) including evenings and weekends Firm foundational knowledge of infrastructure and networking technologies such as TCP/IP routing, firewalls, proxies, and application load balancers Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell, Perl) Experience with Linux operating system administration Ability to debug and optimize scripts and automate routine tasks Ability to apply systematic approach to tackle problems with a sense of ownership and focus Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical details to different audiences Preferred qualifications: You have experience with agile continuous delivery and DevOps and will foster the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a streamlined high quality development environment You investigate technology and are on the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and strategies and help evaluate, prototype, and introduce them to our team You will assist in building, maintaining, and debugging innovative engineering technologies.
