Under the supervision of the Information Security Compliance Officer, this key position is responsible for the implementation of information security policies, the documentation of information security measures, and coordination with Information Security Management System auditing bodies within the company.
Conducts functional and gap analysis with regard to compliance with security-related statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements related to ISMS to prevent non-compliance.
Helps the Information Security Compliance Officer in maintaining and documenting policies, procedures and standards pertaining to information security, ISO 27001:2013, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Control Objectives for Information Technologies (COBIT) and Other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
Prepares regular compliance reports and its status, identifies issues or gaps, and reports to immediate superior to keep the management updated on the security events, threats, vulnerabilities, and the implementation of security controls.
Assists with various internal and external audits, and their responses and remediation efforts for smooth and efficient audit process.
Communicates to immediate superior, through business case study, project charter, reports presentations, metrics and other documentation, any cyber-security risks identified to immediately address the potential loss, breach and theft of the department's information.
Reports security incidents and/or any identified security weaknesses.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
At least one (1) year of InfoSec Compliance experience, preferably in a BPO setting.
Must at least have training/certification in ISO Awareness and Cybersecurity.
Must have a background in HIPAA, HITRUST, and related.
