Assists the hospital in formulating annual plans, policies and long-term programs for the prevention of hospital infection.
Recommends in the preparation of the documents for support services and advises on infection aspects.
Involved in setting quality standards with regards to prevention of healthcare-associated infections and in the audit of infections.
