JOB DESCRIPTION
1.Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices and machines.
2. Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
3. Set-up and operate, production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
4. Assist Engineers in developing, creating, testing prototypes or new products, processes or procedures.
5. Calibrate or adjust equipment/machine to ensure quality production using tools such as callipers, micrometers, gauges. Proficient with power tools.
6. Check and inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer satisfaction.
7. Provide production, progress or changeover reports to immediate superior.
8. Start up and shut down processing equipment/ machines.
9. Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.
10. Set-up, verify, install, fabrication of new equipment and functionality.
11. Measure and record data associated with operative equipment.
12. Provide advice or training to other technicians.
13. Proper segregation of scrap or waste materials for recycling, reuse or environmentally disposal.
14. Conduct specific preventive maintenance of machine and equipment in accordance with the preventive and corrective maintenance schedule.
15. Assists engineers in maintaining over-all functionality and efficiency of plant equipment and machinery.
16. Responsible & accountable for all assets/ equipment/ tools turned over to him/ her through the Property Transfer Slip (PTS) process.
17. Strictly complies with all company policies, procedures, employee code of conduct, safety, health & environment (SHE) programs, quality management system, etc.
18. Attends the appropriate training sessions/courses identified for him/her.
19. Participates actively in working committees and/or task forces that he/she may be assigned to from time to time.
20. Performs other duties assigned by EMD Department management.
