Description
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in the strategic development and delivery of sustainable livelihood programs;
Spearhead the strengthening of Partnership with the Cooperatives, Income Generation and Savings Groups in the community.
Assist in the provision of entrepreneurial capability-building interventions with partners such as seminar a/workshops, producst development, marketing and other business related assistance.
Identify and form cooperatives and members and selection procedures. Assist the community in defining/clarifying their priority problems & alternative solutions as basis foe decision-making.
Ensure that appropriate systems and methodologies for beneficiary accountability are in place including program monitoring tools and formats.
Facilitate timely implementation of activities based on the approved project plans
Handles and implements environment advocacies, campaigns and DRR activities both in school and community
Mobilize the QRT and conduct the Rapid and Damage and Need Assessment (RDANA) provide updated reports to the Field Manager or to the Head Office, if necessary
Ensure that Go Bag, Red Bag and Food stock are well maintained and replenished;
In-charge of the satellite phone safe-keeping and maintenance;
Conducts monitoring of solar projects and capacity building of members of the energy group, if
applicable.
Establish and manage programme indicators for monitoring and evaluation of project achievements against targets and provide detailed reporting to management, partners and donors;
Identify and develop partnerships with organizations, training institutions for small business development, micro-credit, financial planning, and on inclusive approaches.
Builds capacity of people's organizations/core groups in resource mobilization, networking, organizational consolidation & conflict resolution.
Coordinates and maintains partnerships with the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office at the Provincial, Municipal and Barangay level and other essential government agencies and stakeholders
Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Community Development or any Business course and with agricultural background
With at least three (3) years of relevant experience in the same field.
Has knowledge on program planning and budgeting.
Committed in performing disaster preparedness and response related tasks.
Adept in undertaking, conducting, and promoting IGP
Knowledgeable in savings mobilization.
Able to acquaint themselves with the community and identify groups for IGPs
Able to set up a simple monitoring system for evaluating the IGPs
Understands the community and identify groups/occupations for whom IGPs are necessary
Adapt IGP activities/programs to local conditions and identify local resources and mobilize them
Capable of promoting an understanding of IGPs in the community and link IGPs with local private enterprise and marketing
Capable of promoting a small scale industry
With International NGO experience.
