We are looking for an experienced IMPEX Supervisor to lead and oversee the Import and Export operations of our organization. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with trade regulations, manage end-to-end IMPEX processes, and drive efficiency within the department while providing guidance to staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all import and export activities, including documentation, customs clearance, and shipping arrangements.
Lead communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government agencies to ensure smooth transactions.
Ensure strict compliance with local and international trade regulations, tariffs, and duties.
Monitor and analyze inventory levels, shipment schedules, and stock movements to optimize supply chain operations.
Resolve escalated issues or delays in the import/export process promptly and effectively.
Review and validate IMPEX documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Train, guide, and evaluate IMPEX staff to build a high-performing team.
Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, logistics, finance, and production) to streamline processes and support business needs.
Generate regular reports and provide recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
At least 5+ years of progressive experience in import/export operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
