About the job
IKEA for Business (IB) is the B2B arm of IKEA, offering our unique range and concept to professional customers within office furnishing, residential developments, kindergartens/schools, hotels, and other market segments. In your role as IKEA for Business (IB) - Manager, IKEA Philippines, you will organize, initiate and lead all IKEA for Business sales activities in Philippines, to ensure that the company optimizes its business opportunities in the market.
You will ensure that IB operates to the highest professional and ethical standards in all meetings with the customers, to uphold and strengthen IKEA's reputation as a leading, trustworthy, and service oriented brand.
Your assignment
· As part of the SEA IKEA for Business Management Team, participate in development of the overall IB strategy for SEA.
· As Leader of Sales, be is responsible for developing and implementing the Sales Strategy for IKEA for Business in Philippines, covering all focus customer verticals. This is to be done in cooperation with the IKEA for Business SEA Management Team.
· In cooperation with IKEA Retail management in Philippines, oversee and coordinate the operation of the IB sales counters in the stores, through leading and motivating the front co-workers, and through the good example install a positive mindset of responsibility, customer care, and service.
· Proactively identify and contact larger potential clients, with main focus on the two verticals: Residential Developers and Offices, and lead negotiations with these.
· Be responsible for follow-up and follow-through on all customer leads generated through any of the customer touchpoints, to ensure that customers experience that they are 'attended to' and that sales opportunities thereby are optimized.
· In cooperation with the Fulfilment function, oversee the execution of larger orders, and manage the communication and follow-up with the customers.
· Support the SEA Operations- and Systems Project Manager in setting up the CRM system, and in establishing the qualitative and quantitative content of the this, which shall provide the base for all interactions with the customers.
· Ensure that the company's competitive advantage within Sustainability is incorporated into the general operation and profile, in support of the overall image of IKEA for Business.
Qualifications
Your profile
Good conceptual and practical understanding of IKEA's profile and range, with strong ability to communicate the IKEA concept to external contacts.
Service oriented with at least 5-7-year experience in sales to professional customers, and with proven track record, preferably within interior furnishings, real estate, or related industries.
Good commercial understanding of offline as well as online marketing/sales, as well as dynamics and opportunities within multi-channels sales.
Strong negotiations and commercial skills, with experience in corporate sales, and in meeting larger customers/organizations at senior management levels.
Understanding and commitment to company Culture and Values, with strong ability to convey these directly and indirectly through own way of being.
Alignment with IKEA's Sustainability strategy, and knowledge of how to communicate principles.
Fluent in verbal and written English.
You have a positive personality. Fair, honest and trustworthy with excellent interpersonal skills, strong commercially creative sense, and a good sense of humour.
You are self-reliant with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
You are enthusiastic, with strong desire to be part of a positive and challenging environment.
You are supportive to others, keen to share knowledge and learning with others in the organization, and to go the extra mile as part of an ambitious team.
