Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and the direct supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer (CMHO), the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the administration, configuration, functionality and evolution of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure and systems in the Immigrant Medical Center Manila, in close coordination with the ICT Manila.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
Provide onsite end-user support to IOM staff.
Ensure that the implementation of ITC infrastructure is compliant to IOM ICT standards, policies and guidelines, in particular with regards to network systems, telecoms and ICT procurement (hardware and software); suggest best technical solutions in order to achieve required standards and friendly user environment.
Support IOM staff in the utilization of relevant IOM corporate applications such as MiMOSA, UKTB GS, eMedical, Teleradiology, Processes and Resources Integrated Systems Management (PRISM), etc.
Assist in the configuration, administration of computers and peripherals, internet connectivity (LAN/WAN/Wireless access points/VPN) and equipment as well as monitoring of ICT servers and services.
Install, configure and upgrade software required for the operations in the office (Windows, MS Office, Antivirus and others).
Assist in the implementation of virus detection, removal and prevention for all systems. This will involve assurance of deployment of the latest Anti-Virus signatures for data protection.
Maintain and monitor telecommunication system of the MHC.
Ensure proper working condition of MHC security devices and security monitoring systems.
Provide IT support in monitoring and maintaining of the MHC medical and non-medical devices such as high-resolution monitors, medical printers, X-ray units, laboratory devices, air conditioning units, etc.
Maintain and monitor daily performance of MHC servers and PACS system.
Implement and manage a centralized regular back-up for servers and clients, monitoring back-up jobs and management of tape backup sets and rotation.
Support in the management of an overall tracking system for the ICT equipment inventory (hardware and software), including regular updates of the technical documentation of the ICT network.
Provide guidance and training to MHC staff that are working on medical applications and health devices and conduct necessary surveys as needed.
Regularly reports needs and progress on ICT issues in his/her area of responsibility and assist in liaising with ICT service providers and vendors for the adequate provision of supplies and services.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with minimum three years of relevant professional experience networking environment (LAN/WAN) and first level network/desktop support; or
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in Windows/Exchange Server and other industry certifications, an advantage.**
Experience
Experience in maintaining PACS server and DICOM transmission of images.
Experience in Motorola VHF / Codan HF network; Windows Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows 10 Professional or Enterprise), MS Office (2016 pro plus), Antivirus Software and IT utilities;
Experience in the administration of Windows Servers (2012 R2) and Exchange Servers (Microsoft Exchange 2010 SP3 rollup 16) in a multi-site environment, TCP/IP, Cisco devices.
Work experience in medical fields, database maintaining and data entry (SQL, etc.) an advantage.
Skills
Good computer skill, especially in Microsoft Excel is essential.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of a second official UN language is desirable.
