HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
 
PURPOSE
 
The purpose of the Human Resource Manager is to manage recruitment, keep systematic HR records & files, monitor employee relations & services, issue & facilitate government requirements, ensures coordination & communication among employees of the hotel, oversee training and development of employees and assist General Manager and Corporate Human Resource Manager in administrative tasks.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Source applicants to replace resigned employee/employees; prepare job postings in schools, free internet posting and other forms of media.
Review job applications, conduct preliminary interviews, and then set appointment with department Heads/General Manager for selection interviews.
Do background check using applicant's references and records.
Set up manpower reserve/qualification standards.
Prepare summary of applicants, rating & status of applications.
Advise status of applications after recruitment.
Coordinate with manpower agencies for new hires' pre-employment requirements, date of submission and others as may be required.
Conduct Orientation of New Hires.
Monitors leave availment of employees in the hotel.
Assist employees in following up availment/application of Health/Life Insurance, SSS/Philhealth benefits, Loan application, meal and leave entitlements, issuance of uniforms, and other services.
Monitor and coordinate annual medical check-up.
Assist Corp. HR Manager in reviewing/updating mechanics on Job Evaluation/Wage & Salary Administration.
Review/formulate job description and assist in establishing job leveling.
Monitor, review, and devise summary and recommendations on employees' performance appraisal.
Organize/supervise/participate in recreational, athletic, social and other activities for employee development.
Conduct employee counseling, complaints, grievances in coordination with General Manager, Corp. HR Manager and Department Heads concerned.
Keep systematic HR records and other HR files and do regular update of 201 files.
Do regular update; prepare a monthly Manning Status of the hotel noting change of status, transfers, resignation and other personnel action/s.
Submit a Monthly Manning report to the General Manager and Corporate HR.
Submit weekly report of budget and expenses to accounting.
Prepare documents for promotion/transfers such as interview rating/s of current employee candidates, preparation of performance evaluation, recommendation, contract, memo, tests conducted and other pertinent requirements coordinate with concerned Department Heads accordingly.
Monitor and keep an updated record and summary of employee disciplinary cases.
Prepare and submit employment records/other requirements to DOLE and other government agencies
Monitor, facilitate and file employees' application for renewal of Mayor's/Health Permits.
Issue announcements and circulars.
Post announcements and important reminders on bulletin boards.
Answer phone inquiries on job openings, proposals, practicum training and others with tact and diplomacy.
Collate proposals/letters, coordinate with General Manager/Department Heads/Corporate HR if needed, and advise senders of status of requests.
Coordinate requests for hotel tours, interviews and observation.
Coordinate with manpower agencies for HR related queries/requests of employees.
Coordinate with School/Agency Coordination for request, give quota for training.
Conduct orientation of trainees, prepare, reproduce and give handouts for house rules, waiver of training, and check pre-training requirements.
Devise schedule of trainees in close coordination with the concerned Department Heads.
Monitor and follow up trainee's evaluation from Department Heads.
Print and issue certificates for deserving trainees and keep a systematic file of trainee's records.
Prepare training memo, schedule, materials, visual aids, handouts, venue, meals, attendance form, and equipment to be used and coordinate with Trainers/participants.
Prepare certificates for employees who have completed seminars, ensure all certificate signatories are taken, issue certificate and keep a systematic file of seminar attendees.
Discuss/evaluate with concerned employees on public seminars to be attended by rank & file, supervisors/managers (sponsored by the company), keep a file of employees' certificates and handouts.
Perform other duties as directed by superiors
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Behavioral   Science or other related courses
At least with two (5) years' experience as HR Officer/Supervisor, exposure in hotel is an advantage
Knowledgeable in all areas of Human Resources
With excellent oral and written communication skills
Adept in human relations
Has professional maturity and integrity
Proactive, team player, objective and open minded
With good time management skills
Firm but fair and trustworthy
Must be computer literate
Personable and well-groomed
Travel required: As required
 
Hours Required: Scheduled days and times may vary based on need.
