HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT
 
Job Summary:
 
The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department and assists in the efficient day-to-day operations of human resources functions.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assisting in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Coordinating new hire orientation sessions and assisting with onboarding activities.
Employee Records:
Maintaining and updating employee records in the HR database.
Ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee files, including personal and employment information.
Benefits Administration:
Assisting employees with benefits enrollment and addressing basic benefits-related inquiries.
Supporting the administration of employee benefits programs.
Time and Attendance including Payroll:
Monitoring and managing employee attendance records.
Assisting with timekeeping & payroll systems and addressing related inquiries.
HR Documentation:
Preparing and distributing HR-related documents such as offer letters, employment contracts, and policy manuals.
Ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements.
Employee Relations:
Addressing routine employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Escalating complex issues to HR management as needed.
Training and Development:
Coordinating training sessions and programs for employees.
Assisting with tracking employee training and development activities.
Compliance:
Assisting in ensuring HR policies and procedures comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Keeping abreast of changes in employment legislation.
Reporting:
Generating and preparing HR-related reports as requested by management.
Analyzing HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
General Administrative Support:
Performing general administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and answering phones.
Assisting with special HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
Knowledge of basic HR principles and practices.
