PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll Administration
Prepare payroll registers while ensuring that all salaries, deductions, and other payroll elements are correct and complete.
Computing service charge distribution to covered employees.
Ensures accurate government contributions and taxes are deducted in accordance with local statutory requirements and regulations.
Generating payroll reports for Managers to review.
Ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees.
Calculation of final salary payment for terminated or resigned employees.
Maintain accurate payroll records.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Attending to payroll inquiries from employees as coordinated with HR team members
Government Compliance
Ensures compliance with government regulations related to payroll, including tax withholding, benefits, and payroll deductions.
Prepares withholding tax report for BIR tax compliance (monthly and annual) including distribution of annual ITR of employees.
Provides support in the preparation of government remittances.
Assists in audits related to payroll and benefits.
Experience
At least 3-5 years of experience in the field as a Payroll Accountant or similar role
Competent and up-to-date knowledge of accounting, tax, and labor standards and regulations related to payroll
Proficient in MS Office suite, especially in Excel; knowledge of payroll software is a plus
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Detail-oriented and has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business.
Professional certifications are a plus
