Job Summary:
The HR Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring that all payments and deductions of employees are properly recorded, remitted and booked. He/She also ensures that all payables and receivables to/from employees, contractors, employment agencies and government agencies are properly accounted for, paid and collected within set deadlines.
Job Description:
End to End payroll process
Collate data from payroll sources.
Checked daily, weekly, monthly timesheets.
Deal with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees
Responsible for compiling payroll data, error reconciliation, and maintenance of payroll records
Calculates employee mandatory contribution (SSS, HDMF and Philhealth), benefits and deductions
Monitoring SSS Sickness/Maternity Benefit Reimbursement
Process Computation/Issuance of checks for approved benefits (sickness, maternity)
Determine tax obligations of the company and council taxes
Complete payroll reports
Keep all pay records confidential
Answer questions from staff about wages, attendance, time records, and deductions
Maintain payroll processing system and records
Entering new employee data into the company database.
Monitoring of leave
Coordinate requests for leave and other absences
Calculating bonuses and allowances
Distribute payment statements and gather signed receipts (digital or paper)
Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with regulations
Enter new employees' data (e.g. bank accounts and tax identification numbers) into internal databases
Answer questions about compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions.
Preparing employee compensation checks using payroll software.
Ensuring taxes comply with company and state regulations.
Preparing payroll reports.
Distributing payment statements.
Responding to employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
At least 5 years of payroll experience.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and payroll software
