HR GENERALIST
 
Job Summary:
 
An HR Generalist is responsible for recruiting suitable candidates to fill vacancies, orientation and onboarding of new hires.  An HR Generalist is also responsible for providing employee administrative support, compensation and benefits administration including timekeeping and payroll generation, employee relations and safekeeping of employee 201 files and other confidential HR documents as well as compliance with government and mandatory reports.  
 
Recruitment Functions:
In-charge with the overall recruitment process of JMU Marketing Cebu Branch. 
Prepares memorandum and performance evaluation forms of Probationary employees.  
Monitors personnel movement for probationary to regularization and prepares necessary Employment Contracts as scheduled.
Safe keeps employee 201 file and other confidential HR documents.
Disseminates memorandums and company policies upon the directive of the Operations Manager.
 Compensation and Benefits Functions:
Timekeeping and payroll generation every cut-off through Payroll Pro system (if applicable).
Monitors daily attendance, leaves and other timekeeping related forms and safe keeps all timekeeping-related documents and records.
Prepares collection lists and facilitates monthly remittances to SSS, PHIC and PAG-IBIG.
Process SSS and HDMF loan application forms, SSS maternity & sickness benefits claims of covered and qualified employees.
Administers benefits programs such as vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
Acts as authorized company representative for SSS, PHIC, and HDMF transactions and concerns.
 Employee Relations and Admin Functions:
 Provides HR-related support to employees and assists in the implementation of company Policies, Procedures and company Code of Conduct (COC).
Upon the directive of the Operations Manager, bridge management and employees by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
Prepares, process and submits DOLE and other government entities' compliance reports. 
Performs clerical and administrative functions and other work-related tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or his designated representative. 
Coordinates with management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety and health matters.
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings upon the directive of the Branch Manager.
Prepares budget of human resources operations.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
A college degree in AB or BS Psychology / Human Resource Management. 
Trustworthy and able to handle confidential matters with utmost discretion.
Preferably with at least two (2) year work experience as HR Generalist or in similar capacity.
Has competencies to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships in all levels of the company.
Excellent communication skills - spoken and written.
Knowledge on MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 
Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-tasks with minimum supervision.
People-oriented, results-driven and willing to learn new skills and competencies.
In-depth knowledge of Labor Laws and HR best practices.
Familiar with DOLE Handbook on Workers' Statutory Monetary Benefits.
