Job Description
Reporting to the APAC Head of HR, the HR Manager contributes to the accomplishments of Human Resources practice and objectives which emphasize quality, productivity and standards, and goal attainment of a superior workforce.
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for supporting all functions in the HR department including reporting & compliance, employee relations, performance management, career development, succession planning and employee experience initiatives.
The HR Manager will partner with the HR team and other partners to analyze, address, and support the strategic initiatives of HR for AGS. This position will be a combination of functional and strategic work supporting AGS's overall business, company strategy and goals.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensures compliance of policies, procedures and reporting
· Provide employee relations counseling in accordance with various regulations and HR procedures including conflict resolution, progressive discipline, terminations and other employee matters.
· Lead an AGS HR Administrator to ensure accuracy of people data and reporting
· Partner with managers to provide guidance on personnel policies and employment law
· Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
· Coach and advise employees regarding HR programs, practices, and procedures
· Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
· Develop & maintain HR project calendar and ensure stakeholders are aware of projects & deadlines
· Evaluate & recommend improvements to HR processes and procedures continually
· Partner with global and regional HR team with various HR strategic initiatives
· Work in conjunction with HRIS Administrator to update and maintain HR dashboards.
· Maintains strict confidentiality of client, company and personnel information
Skills and Competencies
· Problem solving - identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Gather and analyze information skillfully
· Interpersonal Skills - maintain confidentiality, remain open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
· Oral communication - communicate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings. Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment
· Written Communication - strong ability to edit work for spelling & grammar, present numerical data effectively and ability to read and interpret written information.
· Planning/organizing - prioritise and plan work activities, manage time efficiently and develop realistic action plans
· Quality control - demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness & monitors own work to ensure quality
· Situational Adaptability-ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
8 - 10 years' relevant work experience in Human Resources
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
Strong conflict management skills
Ability to effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues
Knowledge of HR operations and administration required
HR Business Partnering experience
Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Must be amenable to work midshift schedule
