The Role
As a Home Loans Underwriter you will be responsible for evaluation of current credit data/information of borrowers to determine their eligibility/ qualification according to set standards or credit parameters and the degree of risk involved in extending credit / loan.
How you'll contribute
Perform thorough underwriting application assessment approvals by endorsing qualified applications granting approval for qualified borrowers
Review credit profile and related information of borrowers, identify credit risk, and establish mitigants of assigned loan products.
Pro actively Executes the Credit Policy Manual / guidelines applying the assigned loan product with prudence and sensibility
Strong Adherence and compliance to the Bank's internal and external, policies/procedures/standards, b. Bank's organizational thrusts, top management's/ExCom/BOD directives in the performance of assigned tasks compliant to internal and external audit
What we're looking for
Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or to any field of study
Must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience doing credit evaluation for consumer products
With knowledge of credit policies and procedures, and risk management.
Should have a background in underwriting
Equipped with effective written and oral communication.
Able to communicate effectively with internal customers (stakeholders).
Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented.
