Job Description
Operating Heavy Equipment -Manipulating various types of heavy machinery, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, to excavate, move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials.
Safety Compliance - Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy machinery on job sites.
Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance checks on equipment, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, and reporting any necessary repairs. The operator should also wash and grease the equipment when required.
Loading and Unloading - Ensuring proper loading and unloading of materials and equipment as required.
Collaboration - Collaborating with site supervisors and team members to ensure project specifications are met.
Pre-operational Checks - Conducting pre-operational checks on equipment and cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment.
Following instructions and plans -Following instructions from supervisors and adhering to project plans and specifications
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.
Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
Capacity to provide and follow direction.
Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
Ability to work extended hours, as required.
