To manage the delivery of a high quality, cost effective Recruitment service which adds value, meets customer needs and is aligned to business requirements and the wider HR strategy and people agenda.
Primary Responsibilities
Contribute to functional strategy development and priorities operational deliverables and activities of the team.
Contribute to the development of the business resourcing strategy ensuring cost effective approaches are considered which take into account the balance between direct and indirect recruitment.
Contribute to the People Plan as part of the Business Planning process by providing recruitment input which ensures resourcing requirements are reflected and key issues identified.
Lead the implementation and development of improvements in the end to end Recruitment process to deliver high quality and robust recruitment practices in line with best practice.
Manage tactical plan and provide support to others to achieve positive results for the business in line with strategy.
Source high quality candidates for vacancies within the business via the most suitable route and when appointments are made manage the effective delivery of recruitment processes and procedures.
Develop and drive recruitment initiatives to support the development of policies, systems and processes that meet organizational goals aligned with best practice
Manage recruitment processes and procedures to ensure all recruitment activities (1) are delivered in accordance with the latest employment legislation, policy and market conditions (2) meet current and emerging customer needs and service expectations (3) are aligned with company and business priorities
Manage the recruitment systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and deliver quality recruitment data which is accurate, timely and robust and which supports informed analysis and decision making.
Support and contribute to HR initiatives to successfully drive forward the people agenda and promote best practice across the organization.
Actively engage the business and build open positive relationships with them to facilitate the successful delivery of resourcing programs.
Deliver expert advise and coaching on recruitment to the business to equip them with skills to recruit to a high standard.
Build and maintain strong relationships with HR Business Partners, recruiting managers and other senior members of the business to understand business objectives/requirements and assist in the timely delivery of solutions.
Proactively build strong relationships with all third party suppliers and ensure they are equipped to provide QBE with the very best service.
Manage external recruitment agencies and regularly liase throughout all stages of the recruitment campaign to maintain strong, mutually beneficial, third party relationships.
Provide and evaluate key metrics/KPI's to demonstrate the effectiveness of the recruitment function which can be used across a variety of audiences from individual business areas to the board of directors and which informs decision making and action planning.
Display leadership and direction to develop, grow and proactively support and drive forward recruitment initiatives.
Manage the delivery of accurate and current recruitment management information for standard and ah-hoc reports, ensuring this supports business requirements and enables informed analysis and decision making
Ensure all personnel/administrative records are maintained and accurate at all times, adhering to the requirements of the Data Protection and other regulatory and internal requirements.
Manage and control recruitment budget to ensure costs are in line with plans and any variances accounted for.
Actively undertake personal development to ensure up to date knowledge and skills.
Manages and supports the recruitment tam to ensure that people, resources and processes are aligned with business needs and fit for purpose.
Manage, resource, motivate, develop and focus the recruitment team to ensure the required standards of performance and support the continuing personal and professional development of all team members.
Manage appointment, dismissal, performance management and rewards of the team to effectively manage resources.
Establish clear accountabilities and authority levels for direct reports and build a strong culture of accountability and performance in order to ensure delivery of goals.
Actively coach and develop more junior/less experienced team members.
Maintain regular and effective communication, and transfer of knowledge, between and within the HR teams.
Ensure that the resource required for effective delivery of the recruitment strategy is in place to successfully drive forward the people agenda.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
