With forecasts for our biggest and busiest years to date, we are seeking a Head of IT Operations to ensure the ongoing operations of all technology systems that enable the business to achieve its strategy and realise its vision. This position sits within our senior leadership team and is essential to the growth and success of DBC.
Job Description
Report to our Melbourne-based CITO and leading a large team dispersed across Australia and Manila, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing the IT operations strategies consistent with company strategy, objectives, and vision.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
establishing, refining, and managing effective Enterprise-level IT Operations within the business and across divisions to deliver ongoing quality outcomes.
managing teams of support employees and other managers reporting into your area, operating on complex IT Operations with numerous internal and external stakeholders' dependencies.
driving the agenda for enhancing overall service experience with business teams; directing all activities for the deployment of key initiatives & projects including translating business requirements into people, process, and technology changes to the agreed cost, quality, and timeframe.
effectively controlling and managing the issues, risks, dependencies, and changes in scope to key initiatives and programs of work.
to establish and manage strategy and innovation for Information Security Services and drive continuous improvement of the area.
acting as a single point of contact for all matters related to IT Operations and IT Security to IT and business leadership teams, ensuring consistency in communications.
to develop, maintain and strengthen the IT security control framework (policies, standards etc.) aligned to the broader IT Governance model.
set the strategy for continuous service improvement, pace, and targets for the teams within the overall operations organization so that they are continually seeking to improve the services
to engage, educate, and influence business and IT Leadership decision-makers on key information security capabilities and initiatives.
developing and managing technology vendor contracts & agreements associated with external vendors.
managing budgets and financials for IT spend across the organisation.
aligning service levels, resourcing (internal and vendor) to service expectations and business impact.
Business Continuity Planning and disaster recovery, and managing out of hours support and extended support for the business.
to collect and analyse tickets along with feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to imrove service delivery and levels across self-help, internal resources and vendors.
Your skills and experience
We are seeking candidates who have ideally led IT teams across the Philippines and in Australia, working at an executive level to drive forward the capability of the IT operations function. You will also be able to demonstrate:
experience delivering and running service management functions with problem management and major incident management responsibilities
pereexpertise in collaborating, and engaging with multiple parties including third party vendors and service providers
ability to be an influential expert in support of the delivery of Enterprise level IT Operations.
a strong ability to influence and gain buy-in from business stakeholders.
strong business acumen and ability to articulate technology direction in business terms
a results-oriented mindset capable of delivering timely results through measurable outcomes.
experience in implementing a Cyber security strategy, working with partners and remediation.
service mindset with a desire to foster operational excellence.
solid financial disciplines in managing IT operations and project budgets
broad knowledge and experience with IT services across all domains (i.e. Modern Workplace, Networks, Applications and Contact Centre).
exceptional interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
relevant formal IT qualifications
