What will the role do?
Reporting directly to the Managing Director with dotted line to the General Manager, Finance in Australia, this role will be responsible for the management of the local finance unit and the finance shared service delivery. This strategic role will serve as a solid partner of the leadership team in strategic and tactical finance-related activities. This role may evolve over time.
Scope/Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day local finance activities (i.e monthly closing, AP and AR, financial statements)
Adherence and compliance on statutory or regulatory requirements including internal control, taxation and audits.
Liaise and work with banks, legal and government representatives
Ensure cash controls and procedures are complied with at all times
Timely delivery of functional metrics and performance reports, financial forecasting and models for business decision support
Oversee end to end delivery and timely coordination with onshore clients, adhering to group timelines and deliverables
Ensure implemented KPIs are monitored and improvement opportunities realized to maintain the KPIs above the established targets
Assist with project team in the showcasing for potential clients to visit operations
Keep abreast of the current industry trends on finance, accounting and tax that have financial implications, regulatory changes and compliance.
Key Requirements
CPA
At least 12 years work experience with demonstrated leadership in a multi-client environment
Knowledge of the Philippines Financial Reporting Standards and tax legislation
Familiar with international accounting systems, experience working with a multinational company in a BPO or shared services delivery preferred
Can operate strategically and tactically as needed
Experience working in a matrix reporting organization and in a cross-cultural setting
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in MS Office applications
