Description:
The DFSC Head of Enterprise Systems leads software development teams in providing a comprehensive service for development, maintenance and support of systems used in the Group's business units; in accordance with the Group's Software Development Life Cycle standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads a department of software development teams and Quality Assurance teams developing, maintaining and providing 3rd level support for Group applications and banner legacy and locally developed applications
Lead planning sessions, country reviews and setting the long range plans of the Systems Development organisation supporting the Group's plans and direction
Accountable for a portfolio of multiple projects, managing resourcing, time-lines, budgets, and Quality of deliverables
Ensure that the delivered software satisfies the functional and non-functional requirements of the business
Deliver quality software ensuring minimal defects and work in accordance with Quality Assurance processes to continuously improve deliverables
Keep Senior Management informed about progress and issues within the division and steps taken to resolve them
Take ownership of the resource planning of the System Development team, maintaining up-to-date job descriptions and training programs for staff and maintain a skills database to ensure we have the right people with the right skills to deliver the project commitments
Ensure that development and maintenance complies with agreed DFG standards including SDLC, Project Management Handbook, Information Security Policy and Group Enterprise Architecture
Responsible for maintaining the Group Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) standard, reviewing annually and integrating best practices, leading quarterly steering committees with country level representatives to share experiences and changes affecting the SDLC, and to measure and report on compliance of SDLC across the Group
Leads the identification of relevant technologies, practices, methodologies and/or standards in improving software development services
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in any IT related course
5 years minimum of solid managerial experience
5 years of experience in software development, deployment, business analyst, project management, and process improvement
Foundation or experience in SAP FICO functional and/or software applications development preferred.
With background in digital transformation a definite advantage.
Has the ability to work well with others, lead, mentor, and train other team members.
