The Head of Employee Care will report directly to the Chief of Operations, and will be responsible for leading and directing the routine functions of the Employee Care department including new hire onboarding, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
The goal of the Head of Employee Care should be to make the company the "Employer of choice" by improving the processes, compensation & benefits programs, employee engagement programs that can be measured through satisfaction ratings and retention rates.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Strategy and Planning
Analyze current strategies and frame new initiatives to support over all business objectives.
Take the full responsibility for the alignment of employees' skills and competencies with the strategic plan.
Strategize and execute on how to meet the Organization's goal of being the "Employer of Choice" and improve satisfaction ratings and retention.
You will help champion the Organizational goal of maximizing tools and softwares to add value and not just treating them as a chore. You can leverage the Kaizen Business Analyst assigned to your department for the maintenance and improvement of tools, review and analysis for automation and cross integrations, and to test out new tools and softwares you deem relevant for improvement, growth and efficiency.
Compensation & Benefits Management
Oversee both mandated and voluntary company benefits administration.
Provide guidance and direction to compensation and benefits specialists, develop strategic compensation plans, align performance management systems with compensation structure and monitor negotiations for group health care benefits.
Compensation management includes establishing salary ranges for positions, placing employees within the ranges based on their qualifications, and adjusting pay to recognize milestones and accomplishments.
Spearhead payroll initiatives; payroll processing, referral bonus, and payment restructuring with the Finance department.
Employer-Employee Relations
Responsible for preserving the employer-employee relationship through effective employee relations strategies for ensuring the overall well-being of employees.
Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee complaints.
Primary contact for legal counsel in risk mitigation activities and litigation pertaining to employee relations matters.
Help management and individuals see each other as mutual contributors to the company, fostering a positive dynamic between the two.
Craft and determine company policies that ensure fairness and equity in the workplace.
Initiate 1on1s or conferences with employees, internal and external, together with the Operations team in hearing and resolving working relationship complaints and conflicts and counseling of both 'Multipliers' and leaders.
Perform grievance counselling and even Exit Interviews.
Champion Company Culture
Promote, support and protect the company culture by being equipped to identify any shortcomings within the organization and having the ability to address them effectively.
COC Compliance Management
Define policies and procedures to ensure employment and work practices demonstrate a thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations, while also being aware of the company's larger human capital resources objectives.
Ensure compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource government requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
Records Management and Documentation
Oversee the entire lifecycle of employee documents to ensure proper storage of required records, controlled access to documents and information, and timely disposal of obsolete files.
Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of Employees' work by collaborating with the Operations in conducting training, probationary and yearly performance reviews.
You will be the owner of all operational files that would serve as documentation support and reference for the Employee Care team and the whole MultiplyMii business. This responsibility includes the creation, audit and improvement of all Process, SOP, Best Practices, Knowledgebase records to ensure these documents are always readily available, accurate and relevant on the shared drive and clickup.
Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
Process Owner
You will audit the current state processes and evolve the HR onboarding and offboarding, compensation & benefits administration, and other HR functions to improve the overall experience of the external and internal multipliers, and create a standardized, streamlined process that is ready for scale. The process should be measurable, as what cannot be measured cannot be managed. To enrich this process, you will have the unique opportunity to partner with our process improvement consultancy function, Escala.
Quality of Work
You will be responsible for the quality of the whole department from the facilitation of New Hire Orientations, timely response to AskHR tickets requests to the dissemination of memos, contracts & appointment letters.
You will be expected to raise the bar in output and develop quality assurance mechanisms to ensure that MultiplyMii is known for a Company who cares.
Data & Reports
As part of the Process Improvement initiatives, you will build a data-driven system and culture, identifying the correct metrics to focus on and setting relevant KPIs for the team. These should be constantly reviewed and improved, and communicated with the rest of the team clearly and frequently.
People Management
You will be the single-threaded leader for the Employee Care team, leading them from a managerial, cultural and professional perspective. You will be responsible for all HR movement, as well as training, incentives, appraisals, promotions and attritions.
You will be responsible for initiating continuous learning opportunities and implementing improved methodologies across the process. You do not necessarily need to be the expert on all aspects of human resource management, but you will be expected to leverage internal resources and/oor bring in external resources to ensure that our Employee Care team is operating at the highest standards of professionalism.
Leadership Team
Regularly provide timely updates to the Leadership team with relevant metrics and goals, challenges, risks and opportunities.
You will sit in on weekly leadership meetings, contribute to discussions and be expected to challenge the status quo.
You will be a major contributor to Strategy Planning workshops, Quarterly Reviews, Budget planning and Departmental P&Ls.
Ongoing HR Learning

Your capabilities:
At Least 3 years experience as an HR Manager, Director or the like.
Graduate of Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, Psychometrician, Human Resource Management/Development is a major plus.
Experience working for a Startup company and remote work is a major plus.
Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
Proficiency in excel and google spreadsheet is a major advantage.
People oriented and results driven.
Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
In-depth knowledge of the Philippine labor law and HR best practices.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
Experience in educating and coaching staff.
