THE POSITION
The Head of EHS BI SDS is responsible for the delivery of GBS Center's EHS services to all service receiving countries according to defined SLAs. The role will act as main contact to the countries in case of escalations around EHS BI SDS services.
Tasks & responsibilities
Process Management
Manage GBS EHS BI SDS Team to achieve targets according to defined SLAs and in line with the existing process documents. Enable team to deliver excellent stakeholder and customer experience. Providing support to all countries in scope.
Accountable for the seamless roll-in of the selected BI countries following the Deployment Roadmap until 2025 regarding EHS. Ensuring high quality service and day one readiness for every new country rolled in.
Accountable for the execution of all related end to end EHS processes executed by team, continuously striving for improvements.
Accountable for driving operational excellence within the team for the execution of all related processes.
People Management
Manage the performance and monitor completion of activities
Develop and coach people to deliver performance to achieve SLA and grow talents within the GBS EHS BI SDS Team.
Drive people and leadership development/stable succession pipeline
Drive engagement
Enable GBS EHS BI SDS Team to handle complaints and escalations effectively.
Load Management and Talent acquisition:
Partner with Head of GBS MDM and Head of EHS Supplier SDS Plus in workload and capacity planning
Initiate FTE requisition in Taleo, as needed and approved by the senior leaders
Partner with Recruitment Personnel about the recruitment activity
Plan the onboarding activity within GBS EHS BI SDS Team
Stakeholder Management
Liaise with Product Stewardship team and Local Data Expert to ensure quality service delivery and efficient resolution of customer queries and requests especially for complex inquiries.
Provide reliable reports and data to Product Stewardship Team and GBS Senior Leadership team as required.
Establish and drive relationship with Product Stewardship Team, and requesting personnels from local site
Manage escalations as needed
Requirements
Professional Training / Master or Bachelor with scientific, technical or IT- background (chemical and/or technical background is ideal).
People management and leadership skills
Basic knowledge of BI's product portfolio
Basic knowledge in applying international safety and transport regulations, experience in GBS Material Data Management,
Basic technical qualification in Safety Data Sheet authoring.
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Crossfunctional thinking
EHS orientation
Good inter-personal and cultural sensitivity, persistent, teamplayer, demonstrated eye for continuous improvement, critical thinker, and problem solver.
