Industry: Health IndustryThe Head of Data Platform and Governance oversees the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the companys data platform, data quality, and governance frameworks. This role ensures the organization utilizes reliable, secure, and well-governed data to support strategic decisions and drive business outcomes. Additionally, the position serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in creating a unified reporting system, establishing a single source of truth for all key data assets across the organization.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, testing, and implementation of data pipelines, loads, and database schema changes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Oversee data warehouse and platform issue resolution to maintain reliability and operational excellence.
Develop and enforce a comprehensive Data Governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
Align business data requirements with architectural strategies and implementation plans.
Drive strategic programs and initiatives related to data platform and governance, ensuring delivery on roadmap and KPIs.
Promote a data-driven culture and accountability for data ownership across all business functions.
Manage the organizations data platforms, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and compliance with security standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to support analytics, reporting, and informed decision-making while monitoring key performance metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Information Management, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related field.
Over 10 years of experience in IT, data analysis, or data management, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
In-depth knowledge of data governance, data architecture, and data management best practices.
Practical experience with business analytics, data visualization tools, and enterprise data management systems.
Strong understanding of data security standards and compliance requirements.
Demonstrated leadership with a proven record of managing, motivating, and retaining high-performing teams.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experienced in project and process management with a strong ability to deliver results in complex settings.
