The Role
As Head of Credit Risk Analytics, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team for loan loss forecasting, reporting, portfolio management, designing test programs, and managing credit policies and credit criteria for all unsecured and secured products offered by SBF. The role uses knowledge of data analytics, segmentation, scorecards, and models, and collaborates with the Underwriting Department, Fraud Department, and Collection Department to manage credit losses with budget. The role, in collaboration with Finance, monitors the actual acquisition mix and sets the target mix to achieve the target portfolio profitability and return
How you'll contribute
Strategic Planning and Budgeting:
Prepare and update delinquency and loan loss forecasts for budgets and strategic plans
Forecast application volume for Underwriting Department and forecast delinquent account volume for Collection Department to prepare capacity plans
Monitor actual loan losses against budget and propose actions to ensure loan losses stay within budget while balancing business growth
Portfolio Management:
Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, quality, segment mix, and trends
Prepare reports and insights for the monthly Portfolio Quality Review
Test the boundaries of the credit criteria to optimize risk adjusted returns
Optimize the use of scorecards, models, and analytic tools to manage loan losses within risk appetite
Ensure provisions sufficiently cover the risk profile of the portfolio at all times
Governance:
Establish, revise and regularly update credit risk policies and credit criteria to maintain portfolio performance within risk appetite, budget, and profitability thresholds
Comply with governance requirements for preparing and approving policies, credit criteria, test programs, etc.
Ensure the integrity of management and regulatory credit risk reports, and that they are submitted on time
Collaboration:
Work closely with other Risk functions (e.g. Underwriting, Collections, Fraud, etc.) to manage loan losses within budget
Collaborate and support Finance, Marketing, Product, and Sales in their work, business, and product initiatives
People Management:
Motivate, supervise and coach team members
Monitor performance, provide feedback and develop their skills and knowledge in credit risk
Recruit talent to ensure sufficient capacity and capability to deliver on credit risk initiatives

What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Statistics
At least 10 yrs experience in Risk Analytics in consumer lending (secured and unsecured) credit risk and portfolio management
Skilled in using SAS and/or R
Experience developing segmentation strategies, setting score cut-offs, and managing the use of credit risk models
Advanced knowledge of credit risk reports and indicators. Able to analyze data, provide insights, and suggest mitigating actions
Proficiency in the use of computer programs (EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT)
Good people management skills
Good oral & written communication
Result-oriented and a team player
Proactive and flexible to changes
