Job Description
Opportunity
Ensures that day-to-day Airfreight operations are executed in
accordance with strategy and target. Has responsibility for the
optimization of Processes and Productivity within the Airfreight
Product in the Country
Purpose of the role:
Drive Air growth and profitability in the Country (Philippines)by translating global strategy and initiatives into Country Product, Carrier and Performance plans and ensure this is being executed and provide support withexpertise and guidance. Responsible for delivering a superior Customer experience to Maersk customers and the execution of all operations tasks on time and on plan to support ourCustomers success within the Air product
Responsibilities:
Strategy/Product Management
. Identifymarkettrends,opportunitiesandcustomerneeds.Converttrends in the area,regionalorglobalintovaluetobothMaerskanditscustomers.
. Accountable to develop vertical strategy to deliver customer centric solution to support the business growth of overall air freight product
. Own the execution of global initiatives and strategy within the Area
.Build bridgesbetweenProductdevelopment,OperationsandSales.Collaboratebetweendifferentproductsownerstodeliver solutiontocustomers
Carrier and Customer Relationship Management / Procurement
. Support the CEN function in maintaining carrier relations
. Drive cost reductions by optimal allocation with carriers and contracts
. Actively buildstrong relationships withcustomers and own customer experience for Airfreight customer service team.
Pricing Management
. Area responsibility for allAir Freight Pricingactivities incl. but not limited to Price setting, Strategy and Margins
Operations Execution
. Responsiblefor theend-to-endfileexecutionontimeand onplantosupportourcustomerssuccess inaleanandcostefficientmanner
. Ensuring team adheres to the standard process and customer specific IOP's and monitors respective KPI's
. Standard process - Implementation of standard processes and systems within the district
andensuringdocumentationisinplace
Performance Management
. Manage and improve the performance of the Service/Product in the Area
. Product profitability- Focus onmaximizerevenue, EBIT andGPthrough upselling andcost management
. Strengthen the engagement with global network and drive value through the network
People Management
. Coach, motivate and build a high performing team. Lead by example, inspire and energize their team
Qualifications:
Entrepreneural andinnovationmindset.
Minimum of 5years experience in airfreightforwarding required
3+ years in airfreight leadershipexperience required
Proven experience in designing and/orbuilding or adjusting relevant products to support customersacross verticals/ industries
Expertise ofairfreightmarket in Philippines is required.
Experience in supporting air freight inmultiple countries is an advantage.
