Head/Director, HR Operations Hub (APAC People Services)

About the Role
APAC People Services (APS) is our Regional People Operations Hub, situated in Manila, Philippines, and providing a wide range of HR services to employees across our 11 markets. Reporting to the APAC Chief People Officer and working closely with regional and local HR leaders, you will be a credible leader charged with executing foodpanda's strategic People roadmap, designing and setting up the APS Hub, and building a strong team of professionals to deliver world class people services for our markets.
Responsibilities:
Design and set up our APS Hub, and lead the Regional People Operations functions in Manila.
Develop and execute long-term strategies for APS Hub - anticipate opportunities around scalability and cost optimisation, and help to enable greater adoption of the Employee Self-Service model.
Ramp up capabilities and continue expanding the APS Service Catalogue spanning Tier 0, 1, and 2 people services, supporting employees across 11 markets in the APAC region, and serving as the main escalation point for any operational people topics.
Partner with local and regional People teams to harmonise and streamline core processes in our employee lifecycle (e.g. onboarding, offboarding, absences, mobility, data/reporting, etc.), delivering the highest levels of employee engagement across all countries.
Proactively engage internal customers including C-Level and Functional Heads in markets, building and maintaining strong, collaborative business partnerships.
Drive service excellence and performance against defined service/quality standards.
Drive operational effectiveness and efficiency in our APS Hub whilst adopting a strong customer first mindset, and using data in a smart way.
Adopt best practices in people, process, and technology, to support any management, governance, and operations excellence initiatives.
Troubleshoot operational issues, recommend and implement improvements through standardizing, automating, and consolidating processes in support of People strategy goals.
Own and deliver APS Hub related initiatives and projects whilst ensuring compliance with any local statutory requirements.
Champion a culture within the team that celebrates bringing ideas to the table, shared learnings, advocates recognition, and supports a coaching culture.
Requirements:
Minimum 10+ years in Human Resources, with regional HR Operations experience a must. Exposure to a broad range of HR functions will be an added advantage.
Experience working in HR regional shared services environments, with in-depth understanding of the employee lifecycle and operational issues.
Proven leadership capabilities and track record in building HR shared services functions, managing large matrixed teams, and delivering customer-driven outcomes for large employee populations.
Familiarity with HR processes, systems and technology, analytics, policy and governance, performance management, audit and compliance topics.
Customer first mindset, maturity, strong relationship and consultative skills, with ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent project management skills, with ability to deliver actionable insights and solve problems within tight timelines.
Analytical, detail oriented, data and metrics driven, and able to manage complexity.
Good vendor management and negotiation skills.
Fluency in English (our corporate language) and great communication skills.
