Job Summary
The position will be responsible to provide recommendations and programs to assure safe food production processes in accordance to Theo and Philo Chocolate Factory Inc.'s Food Safety and Halal Management System.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. · Undertake short-term or long-term projects to heightened food safety practices and increase productivity/efficiency.
2. · Meet with management or appropriate staff to understand the requirements of HALAL practices
3. · Use interviews, surveys etc. to collect necessary data
4. · Conduct situational and data analysis to identify and understand a problem or issue
5. · Present and explain findings to the Food Safety and Halal Team
6. · Provide advice or suggestions for continuous business improvement according to objectives
7. · Formulate plans to implement recommendations and overcome objections
8. · Arrange for or provide training to people affected by change
9. · Evaluate the situation periodically and make adjustments when needed.
10. Replenish knowledge of industry, products and field
B. Required Education, Technical Capability and Other Career Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology
Must have proven experience as Halal Consultant at least 2 years
Must be a Muslim and/or Sharia'h Expert
Experience in ISO 22000 at least 2 years will be an advantage
Thorough knowledge of field of expertise and willingness to keep abreast of advancements
Knowledge of data analysis and research techniques
Ability to develop detailed proposals and plans
Excellent organizational and coordination skills
Analytical and creative
A great listener with ability to communicate with people of diverse disciplines
Further qualifications in a specialized field will be a plus
Certification in consulting or field of expertise is an advantage
