Short Description
Hadoop Administrator will provide ongoing support for the Hadoop platforms as required e.g. problem / incident management.
Qualifications
At least 4 years of relevant experience in Hadoop Administration.
Experience in Hadoop Cluster Administration, Configuration, Capacity planning and performance Tuning etc.
Must have UNIX/Linux skills, bash scripting etc.
Should have SQL skills to manage database for Cloudera Manager and related components
Demonstrable Experience - (NiFi, Kafka, Spark, Hbase, Hive, HDFS, Zookeeper, Yarn . - Hadoop components)
Installation, configuration, and Administration of Cloudera of CDH 6.1 and CDP 7.1.6/7
Good understanding of setting up Cloudera and CDP on Openshift environments will be plus
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for management of Enterprise Risk Systems applications
Provide on-call Support on rotational basis
Administer and support Cloudera eco-system
Installation and configuration of Cloudera on Hadoop clusters across SDLC environments
Ability to implement the design based on the requirements and architecture decisions
Work with team and independently to identify issues in Hadoop infrastructure
Should have technical expertise to advise technical input for ongoing and new initiatives being rolled out in Risk infrastructure
Should be able to establish clear communication with business stakeholders
Troubleshooting and problem solving for all SDLC environments and Undertake break fix, incident, problem, and change
Assist with one or more of the following
Risk management OR internal / external audit, Tech Assurance, Quality Assurance, Change Management
