Job Description:
JPMorgan Chase seeks to do business with suppliers who provide the best price, quality and capability to meet our business needs. Global Supplier Services (GSS) brings together Sourcing, Third Party Oversight, Procurement Operations, and Accounts Payable into one team. This group of nearly 800 employees (in 11 countries) manages the source to pay processes for JPMorgan Chase and provides a governance model which includes strong risk management practices, enhanced performance monitoring, greater scale and strong client engagement. The GSS team works proactively with Line of Business (LOB) colleagues to identify capable suppliers, lead the competitive sourcing process and negotiate contracts with selected suppliers. Leveraging firm-wide buying power and controlling risk are consistent overarching goals. GSS then ensures that the contracted goods and services can be obtained by our employees in an efficient, cost-effective manner globally.
The Supplier Oversight Services (SOS) is a centralized group within GSS that ensure execution of the Third Party Oversight & Line of Businesses (LOB) Governance function across JP Morgan Chase. This group provides consistent monitoring of all Third Party activity in order to ensure compliance to the Third Party Oversight (TPO) and Inter-Affiliate Oversight (IAO) standards and works directly with the business as a trusted partner to deliver the GSS solutions and capabilities such as Gold Supplier, PO Express and Fast Track among others.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1. Client Management and Advisory
ü Collaborates effectively across all GSS pillars including Sourcing, Supplier Assurance Services and TPO/IAO Governance teams
ü Build strong stakeholder engagement model to promote the TPO and IAO programs across APAC region.
ü Maintains strategic client management relationship at a LOB and location level to deliver excellent customer experience
ü Regional SPOC for all escalations relating to outsourcing related issues and incidents
ü Equip GSS functions with up to date knowledge on each LOB business strategy so that appropriate support can be provided to LOB in managing their outsourcing risk
ü Maintains and publishes LOB "book of work" and related deliverables to foster a proactive environment with the LOB management team
ü Ensure that items from TPO & IAO globally (i.e. from the Global TPO and IAO Stakeholder/Governance forums and other committees) are appropriately cascaded to the LOB including but not limiting to Delivery Managers, Portfolio Manager and Senior Management community
ü Develop and maintain an ongoing 'Outsourcing Risk Portfolio' dashboard for regional stakeholders (key risk metrics and scorecards) to be presented at Business Controls/Risk Controls Committee or other LOB and regional forums to raise awareness on outsourcing risk and controls
ü Conduct investigations and reports outcomes with compliance, LOB, Legal and sourcing teams on supplier incidents and escalations
2. Project Management
ü Project manage and lead strategic regional projects in the areas of
· GSS deliverables pertaining to regional mergers and liquidations under Global Legal Entity and Simplification Strategy (LESS) program
· tool enhancement initiatives to improve operations and service delivery(COMPASS, 4Site)
· GSS deliverables for new JPM affiliates set up
ü Lead and drive all analysis and investigation of breaks in tools and processes - Work with global team to establish root causes and implement short term and long term fixes (e.g. Materiality & Inventory Project, Local Contact attestation)
3. Operational Excellence
ü Provide support to LOB Management to further mature third party processes to achieve operational efficiencies and control effectiveness
ü Conduct periodic TPO and IAO inventory reviews and clean-ups to ensure data accuracy (e.g. engagement inventory to identify and address inaccuracy, misclassification or duplication, etc)
ü Strengthening the CTPO program through partnership across SOS functions to address areas of control gaps, risk management, governance controls (tools, processes, policy etc)
ü Training and Awareness (CTPO & IAO)
· Cross-GSS pillars trainings and deep dive sessions
· Lead training sessions and roadshows with LOBs
ü SOS/IOS Operating Model
· Support SOS/IOS APAC and Global Strategy
· Assist the regional execution of SOS/IOS Operating Model
Qualifications
Professional Mandarin Language is an advantage
Strong knowledge of Outsourcing Governance and standards experience mandatory
Knowledge of risk management and control principles required
Knowledge of regional / local regulatory outsourcing requirements
Proven leader and influencer and able to effect firm-wide change
Strong Client Service, project management, reporting, analytical and communication skills required
5+ years relevant work experience in Outsourcing governance, Risk and Controls, Vendor Management, or related roles
Preferred experience with GSS tools such as COMPASS, Ariba, CWOC, NEIM, Concur, 4Site, FORCE, Bridger and Qlikview, Cognos
Demonstrated written and verbal communications skills in addition to listening and negotiation skills.
Excellent business judgment, particularly the ability to proactively identify and address issues early, performing root cause analysis to develop long term solutions
Strong business analysis skills to enable efficient, accurate and objective decision making
Ability to partner closely with related functions (Sourcing, Legal& Compliance, Audit, etc.) to ensure a coordinated and effective program
Ability to work with stakeholders and other GSS functions outside of APAC across time zones
Demonstrated organizational, research/analytical skills and ability to execute and escalate
