Nuix is currently seeking a talented Group Tax Officer based in the Philippines on a full-time twelve month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare direct and indirect tax returns to US, APAC and EMEA regions
To provide accurate and timely tax computations and working papers to ensure over-all tax compliance per region.
Evaluation of corporate tax compliance and demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical
Handle Research and Development (R&D) accounting, intercompany transactions and transfer pricing.
Organize and update the company's tax database.
Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals.
Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes.
Liaise with internal and external auditors on tax related accounts.
Forecast tax payments for cash flow purposes.
Answer tax query of various departments and affiliates.
Assisting the team on internal tax review and tax initiated projects.
Handles tax notices and assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant tax experience in a similar role
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy of equivalent
CPA will be highly regarded
Previous experience with a Big 4 will be highly regarded
Skills and characteristics:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Finance/ Accountancy or equivalent.
CPA Licensure is a plus, Big-4 experience a plus
Minimum three (3) years of relevant functional experience or proven experience as Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer
Highly organized and have a sense of initiative
Demonstrate effective written and oral communications skills in English
Strong analytical, verbal and numerical skills
Can work on minimal supervision
