Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee the timekeeping and payroll functions and processes
Set up and maintain functional payroll systems
Help in streamlining and documenting compensation procedures
Audit payroll transactions and ensure accuracy in transactions
Propose and/or approve changes in payroll processes (e.g. salary increases, tax deduction, bonuses, expense reimbursements)
Approve payroll transactions
Reporting on compensation activities and forecasts
· Handle payroll accounting
· Handle payroll analytics and management reporting
· Handle management meetings and presentations
· Support PnL management of the organization, esp on the payroll front
· Support the Finance team on various tasks and deliverables
Train and mentor employees who are involved in payroll on tax regulations and best practices
Manage payroll discrepancies quickly and efficiently
Ensure compliance with all local payroll and local tax laws
Collaborate with Finance and HR to create payroll reports and forecasts
Prepare, review and improve onboarding materials that will help new hires understand the company’s compensation and benefits policies
Coordinate external audits
Answer payroll-related questions from employees
Stay up-to-date with labor legislation and any changes in employee insurance and tax regulations
Designs short-term and long-term strategies for continuous improvement in payroll processes
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in BS Accountancy or any related course
At least 10 years experience with payroll processing
At least 1-2 years experience in a similar capacity
Experience managing payroll for a large organization and have excellent attention to detail
Working knowledge in manual and automated payroll process
Actual experience in handling timekeeping software or HRIS
Thorough knowledge in timekeeping, payroll, system administration; Advanced Excel skills; Analytical
· Can create management-facing reports and presentations
· Should have good presentation and communication skills
· Knowledgeable about team management and development
· Strategic thinking
Must be willing to work on graveyard shift or on a shifting schedule
