We are looking for a hard-working, motivated, and organized Accountant. The role will report directly into Group Finance and will play a key role in establishing strong financial processes. The accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and month-end processes for our group management and holding companies. The role will also be responsible for identifying financial accounting process improvements in NetSuite and supporting the regional finance teams with accounting support. Anthesis is a fast paced and growing business, and this role is an exciting opportunity for someone to grow with the business. As controls are not yet fully established across the group, it will require a proactive self-starter who has the ability and desire to drive positive change. Responsibilities: Carry out the daily bookkeeping tasks including but not limited to purchase invoice registration, bank reconciliation, processing supplier payments, expense report registration, posting of monthly journals, payroll posting, VAT reconciliation and accruals and prepayments reconciliations. Develop strong relationships with the global finance team in maintaining strong controls and accurate financial reporting. Accurate and timely delivery of monthly management accounts ensuring they reflect best knowledge of the activities of the business and Anthesis accounting policy (IFRS) Development of existing month end close processes and implement efficiencies where applicable. Responsible for invoicing and reconciling HQ management fees across the group Leading on intercompany trading and funding reconciliations across the group Liaise with external accounting support with any ad-hoc tasks for example assisting with the local audit and any other statutory reporting requirements. Requirements: Qualified accountant with 3 + years of relevant working experience Experience of multinational company environments Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards Experience with Oracle NetSuite is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is essential Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills Good interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proactive self-starter with first class organizational ability, who is detail oriented, and results focused, and able to oversee and support the financial administration of several projects at once Proactive and a committed team player Can work under pressure and with minimal supervision Can work on flexible hours to support global teams in many time zones, meet changing work environment and to meet tight deadlines Personal attributes and qualities: Previous background or passion for sustainability preferred. Curious, globally minded, and enthusiastic. Organized, methodical and analytical. Effective time management and organizational skills.
