I. Strengthening Rule of Law through Legal Aid Clinics in the Philippines (Legal Aid Project Phase 3)
II. Project Background
The Asia Foundation, with support from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, is continuing the implementation of Strengthening Rule of Law through Legal Aid Clinics in the Philippines (Legal Aid Project). The Legal Aid Project aims to help strengthen and promote rule of law in the Philippines by increasing access to free, quality legal services. The Asia Foundation works in partnership with the Supreme Court of the Philippines, the Legal Education Board (LEB), and the Philippine Association for Law Schools (PALS) in the enhancement of clinical legal education programs in law schools and in supporting law schools as. The Legal Aid Project also collaborates with legal aid practitioners and law organizations in the establishment of a national network of legal aid clinics.
The Foundation works in partnership with the Supreme Court, the LEB, PALS, and its partner law schools nationwide to increase access to legal aid service through the law clinics and their respective Clinical Legal Education Program (CLEP) under the Revised Rule 138-A of the Rules of Court or the Revised Law Student Practice Rule. One of the objectives of the project for its third phase is to broaden the reach of information about these services. Towards this end the Legal Aid Project will produce and distribute knowledge and communication products through both digital and printed platforms. The Foundation is looking for a Graphics and Layout Artist for its communication products, which may include posters for law clinics, brochures, publications, social media cards, presentations, collaterals etc.
III. Scope of Work
Review and refine branding for the Legal Aid Project
a. Develop visual style guide for project correspondences, presentations, publications
b. Develop typeface, color palette, graphics, and iconography for use in various project communications
Develop graphics and other assets for the website and social med platforms (social media cards, short animations, etc.)
Create graphics and layout for project collaterals and other printed materials (ex. Posters for law clinics, brochures, etc.)
Prepare layout and graphics for CLEP publications by the Foundation, the Supreme Court, and the LEB, including but not limited to the following:
a. CLEP Training Program Manual
b. CLEP Publication
c. Clinical Legal Education Journal
Other Details:
● 10-month engagement
● Milestones will be determined with the chosen contractor and included in the contract
● Fixed price consultancy fee will be paid upon review and approval of milestones submitted
