About the team
The Design Specialty in Manila aims to be the best design company in the world. That starts with hiring the best people, and the best designers.
From branding to social media, posters to stickers, to videos and beyond, the Template Design Team empowers our users to create stunningly beautiful content-by beginning their journey with a perfect and easily customizable template design. Canva's templates team is building the world's best design marketplace, with a library of designs that offer our users a wide variety of on-trend and usable content. We need the help of talented designers that can create and curate amazing visuals, to pave the way for the future of our design library.
About the Role
The Designer role for Templates will be part of a vibrant and friendly creative studio, producing beautiful templates for our library. You'll have the opportunity to deliver a wide variety of creative campaigns, the freedom to influence design direction, and the chance to create elegant, on-trend designs every day.
We'd love it if you have...
2-3+ years experience as a Graphic or Visual Designer creating a diverse range of designs in print and digital
A strong portfolio demonstrating your passion for designing on-trend, relevant, and beautiful designs
The ability to consider user experience, and follow usability guidelines
The ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment, seeking feedback to improve your work and take your designs further
Diligence to hit deadlines, and offer suggestions to streamline and improve team processes
The confidence to try new things, and a passion for big ideas and using design to make a difference
While we won't be taking any blood samples, we'd love to see some Startup DNA - you will need to be flexible, pragmatic, strategic, tenacious, and take ownership of deliverables and outcomes - ya gotta have hustle!

We shortlist by reviewing not just your CV but more importantly, your portfolio. Quality over quantity matters more to us - so best to show us your best and most relevant graphic design works - throw in those layouts, social media posts, and even branding projects!
You're a hustler! You are adaptable and can work independently juggling the delivery of design projects and producing high-quality content.
You're unafraid to get your hands dirty! You're a senior designer who can give out briefs, at the same time, create high-quality designs.
