Job Description
OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for the coordination and execution of all marketing and communications activities of the Hotel's brands, including relations, collateral production, advertising, promotional programs and events.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertakes production of advertisements, hotel collateral and other projects.
Oversees layout and design of advertisements, collateral and any other projects.
Proposes new and creative ideas/concepts to improve overall collateral standards.
Co-ordinates work and production schedule with the Marketing Communications Manager.
Studies and prepares layouts, sketches of proposed illustrations, and related materials to become familiar with assignment.
Determines style, techniques, and medium best suited to produce desired effects and conform to reproduction requirements, or receives specific instructions regarding these variables.
Formulates concept and renders illustration and detail from models, sketches, memory, and imagination.
Discusses illustration at various stages of completion and makes changes as necessary.
Selects type, draws lettering, lays out material, or performs related duties.
Liaises with Materials Department and works with suppliers and other departments to professionally and competently execute all projects.
Assists with internal photography of events or VIP arrivals where required.
Produces within the specified guidelines all promotional collateral required for both Rooms and Food & Beverage.
Produces and installs props and materials required for weddings, seminars, meetings and other events.
Work Experience
Knowledge and Experience
Fluency in current graphic design practices and web production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After Effects, Dreamweaver and Flash), MS Office, Coral Draw, knowledge in Acrobat.
Strong technical knowledge of how web-based technologies apply to web design such as HTML, Flash, CSS and AJAX.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Knowledge of printing processes and specifications for both digital and print mediums.
Strong design style, including creative design solutions within the constraints of the Internet. Familiarity with current design trends and the ability to adapt designs to suit evolving market demands.
Good project management skills.

Excellent organization and communication skills.
Degree in Graphic Design and/or proven experience in similar role.
Prior experience in Hospitality will offer a definite advantage.
Understanding of luxury environment.
Great written, spoken and ready proficiency in English.
