About the Team
The Design Specialty in Manila aims to be the best design company in the world. That starts with hiring the best people and best designers to support the different teams in Canva.
Brand Studio is a team supported by the Communication Design subspecialty of the Design Specialty. The team is also under the Brand and Marketing group. Brand Studio ensures that internal and external communications are on-brand and helps provide design support to teams without any designers.
About the Role
Despite belonging to the Brand Studio Manila Team, the Graphic Designer will prioritize content requirements for the Community Team. The Community Team contributes to supercharging Canva's funnel, particularly creating awareness, acquiring, activating, and engaging with new and existing users through multiple social media channels.
What you'll do...
Produce high-quality informative, and timely creative output (graphic content for social media platforms and communities that showcase marketplace media, templates, product rollouts and tutorials) faster and at scale.
Editing raw content from community managers for viewer consumption.
Contributing to the creative direction of the social media content types to ensure cohesion across all social media platforms, and alignment with our global brand.
Curating marketplace resources (templates, illustrations) for various content campaigns
Collaborate with the Brand Studio (Manila Squad) and Community PH to produce graphic, static, and video related projects, from brainstorming, research, pre-production to post production.
Help contribute/update guidelines for social media and other on-brand materials for PH campaigns
We'd love it if you have...
2-3+ years experience as a Graphic Designer creating a diverse range of graphic assets, content creation, and campaigns
A strong portfolio demonstrating your passion for graphic design, branding and advertising
Good grasp of brand thinking, can easily understand the Canva visual language and tone of the brand
Strong visual communication skills, layout experience from typography and color theory which you can use effectively in producing engaging creative
The confidence to try new things, and a passion for big ideas and storytelling
The ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment
Diligence to hit deadlines, and offer suggestions to streamline and improve team processes
A working knowledge in Advanced Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator. Knowledge in Canva (editor) is a bonus!
